Wave Power Generator (UGSV-1, UGSV-3)

Long ago scientific community noted and confirmed by numerous experimental data that environment with permanent rheological parameters (viscosity, shear strength and others) obtained flow characteristics under the vibration. The shear strength nears to zero in presence of the vibration background. The vibrational impact deals with the structured systems in two stages: destruction of structural bonds, resulting in lowering of the viscosity, followed by particles motion in the environment with reduced viscosity. Properties of the structure system are being completely recovered when the vibration is removed. All these processes depend on the time of treatment, physical and mechanical properties of the medium, frequency and amplitude of the impact. To enhance the displacement of the plasticity medium special appliances are used. Providing vibration effect on the environment, intensifying mass and heat transfer processes. Thus, due to vibration process one can avoid the accumulation of excessive wall cake and mud rings in the drilled hole and infiltration channels within the rocks. This particular effect was taken as basis for the development of the wellhead elastic wave generator (UGSV). The UGSV produces compressive waves in the intended direction in the well, so called "Rayleigh" waves.

Two models of the elastic wave generator are applied – UGSV-1 and UGSV-3. They differ in type and power of the drive. The drive of UGSV-1 is pneumatic with low power. But it's sufficient for work in water in-take wells with depth of up to 1500m and for intercolumn pressure elimination works. Besides, compressor drive permits to clean working pipelines, wave guide and landing head connections from the used reagent at the end of the work. The drive of UGSV-3 is more powerful hydraulic one. It can increase the injection capacity in wells of up to 5000m deep. The work of UGSV-3 is based on producing alternating hydrodynamic impact on the productive formations. The generator mounted on the wellhead produces elastic waves in the wave guide (tubing). The generated elastic wave transforms into the longitudinal, transversal and surface waves with energy between 5 to 1500 Joules, and frequency between 0.5-80 Hz. This generated wave goes through the wave guide, turns around on the reflector andaffects the productive formation helping towards increase of its feedback.
